Carranza Poblano Pepper
Carranza Poblano Pepper
Pepper growers looking for a dual-use Fresh Market (poblano) or dry (ancho) pepper should consider Carranza. Sets well in hot growing conditions and has a compact plant habit for ancho type, aiding in the ease of management in harvest operations. Unlike many pepper types, anchos/poblanos prefer cool growing conditions. However, Carranza was selected for it's performance in the heat-high fruit set, large fruit size, and classic poblano shape. It also has a high percentage of 2-lobed peppers and produces large, well-shaped fruit.
